GAME DAY!

I had to work all weekend, so Nathan and Hunter watched football. On Saturday they watched the Tech game in their game day gear!! On Sunday they went to a party and watched the Cowboy's. My boys love football!! I was sad to miss the whole weekend, but it is a good bonding experience for them! Hunter is almost sitting on his own! He can sit for a couple of minutes and then when he reaches for something he falls. The best part of my day is when I come home to Hunter and he is laughing and squeezing my neck. It makes me feel like he missed me! I am so proud to be a mom. The boys even brought me lunch on Saturday all the nurses just loved Hunter. He was a hit!! My life is amazing! I can't wait for whats to come. Love you Boys!!

As kids Cristin and I always had to dress alike so we can't help ourselves!! Our kids have so many matching outfits. We just love dressing them alike. I know when the get old enough they will not allow it so better get in all in now!

Pumpkin Patch!

I had to work today, and Cristin watched Hunter. She had a play date with her friend and brought the babies to the pumpkin patch!! Hunter did not like the hay or the pumpkins he cried every time she tried to get a photo. This is so out of character for him... He usually loves everything. Oh, well we might try again on Friday. The pictures are priceless. My sister had a photographer come out to the house and take some pictures of the babies in their monkey costumes!! I am so excited and can't wait to see them. Thanks Cristin for planning a fun day for our little munchkins. LYMI.

Help ME

So I spent the night at my sister's so I did not have to drive in the morning. She left at 11am. The day started out great one down for a nap then the other. I was getting into the groove. We loaded up and drove to my house they slept the whole way. I got home they were both happy and playing. Around 2-3pm was the worst hour of my life (exaggerating). I had been feeling sick all day and both Reese and Hunter were crying. I think Hunter got jealous that I was holding Reese and absolutely lost it. I tried to console him, but nothing was working. Finally, he went to sleep and we all took a nap. My mom arrived at 4:30pm and I was so relieved. I know some days are going to be physically and mentally exhausting. Tomorrow I go to work and it is Cristin's turn. I will miss them, but I need a break. Nathan came home at 6pm and took Hunter for a walk while I rested and had some peace and quite. When he returend I felt rested even though it was only 1 hour. Sometimes mom's need a little time alone.

Another Day!

I am back at my sister's house for another day of babysitting the kids. This morning we started out with a walk in the new double stroller. It was an adventure. Cristin had not gone to work yet. So we all went, Reese cried and had to be carried. Hunter loved it:)Then Cristin got ready and left us. I decided to be brave and get out of the house I loaded the babies. Reese was screaming Hunter was upset, I was thinking what am I doing??? We started driving and about 10min. into the car ride they both fell asleep! I was so happy I went to Chick-fil-a and ate in the car. I needed to go to Target, but was debating if it was worth it. They were both contend and asleep if I got them out into the double stroller they were going to wake up.... I went for it, a lady saw me in the parking lot and said WOW you have twins! We got 1/2 way through the trip and Reese woke up and was screaming... I picked her up and continued. After check out they were both awake and we loaded again with lots of crying.. I was exhausted after just a short trip. One is a breeze! Two under the age of 5 months is a struggle. They took a nap we played tummy time, bouncy seat, and then watched baby Einstein. My mom arrived to help at 4pm. It felt like 8pm at least. I am sure I will get the hang of things sooner or later. The neatest thing about today is Reese and Hunter will just cooo at each other and smile and laugh it is soooo sweet. I love my babies!!

Baptism

Today Reese and Hunter were baptised into the Catholic church. It was a great day!! Hunter wore my dad's christening dress and he loved it. The whole ceremony he was graping the dress and laughing. He loved it, then when he was getting the water on his head he had his hand in the holly water splashing around. He was hilarious. Finally we lit the candles and he has screaming trying to get a hold of the candle. Luckily Nathan had a good grip and did not let him get close. Overall, it was an event full day and now Hunter is a christian:)) Yeah!

Babysitting!!

For those of you who don't know. My sister and I are both nurses and are working opposite days to avoid having to take the babies to daycare. Today is my first day to babysit both Reese and Hunter by myself.. Cristin left for work around 11:00am. Then the madness started. They were both really tired and a little cranky... I tried different baby devices, but nothing was working. 30min into the babysitting I brought them both into the nursery and had tummy time. Finally, they were happy for about 10min. I changed both there diapers they wear the same size:)) Reese then decided she liked the swing and Hunter laid down in the crib for nap time 1 1/2 later:)) I am so happy!! I just am waiting for the madness to begin again... Will keep everyone posted on my day. I can't imagine having twins! My sister has watched them several times alone I knew it would be hard, keep me in your prayers. That I can have Patience and be calm and not get overwhelmed.=
